PCL Ilgen GmbH - The company

Examination and assessment for over 40 years

Electric energy supply stands and falls with the functional capacity of transformers used in different circuit voltage and power classes in industry and by energy suppliers. If a transformer or switchgear breaks down at a critical point of the electricity supply system, the unbroken energy supply is jeopardised. Not only high costs for repair or spare parts may be invoked but also aggravating consequences of a reduction or the total close interruption of the production. If you want to exclude such risks you are well advised to control regularly the status quo of the transformer with its solid and liquid insulating material as a high quality investment.

PCL Ilgen GmbH works independently. The assessment of any examination by PCL is even of economic advantage for the client, for PCL supplies facts on the basis of neutral examination results as criteria for its decision. The competence also for examinations and their assessment derives from experience and specialisation. When installing the testing laboratory more than 40 years ago the PCL founder could look back on a long-time experience as director of a laboratory with a well-known German transformer producer.

PCL Ilgen GmbH is accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025 for testing new and used insulating oils from transformers and switchgear, including sampling. In addition, all works in both PCL plants are regularly reviewed by DAkkS (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH). Both laboratories have qualified staff und a large range of devices. The equipment is state-of-the-art technology so that even large sample numbers can be handled rapidly and without any capacity bottleneck. PCL is appreciated by energy suppliers and industry not only because of the service quality due to rapidly available and analytic correct examination results, but also because of various additional services, as the consultation in problematic cases and the services resulting from these.
